We are looking for an experienced, creative and dynamic professional to be responsible for the operational planning, management and delivery of the Edinburgh Future Institute (EFI)'s Student and Academic Services and Student Experience teams.


The Opportunity:


The Edinburgh Futures Institute (EFI) is delivering an ambitious and innovative undergraduate and postgraduate taught portfolio that is highly interdisciplinary, forges new territory in student flexibility through a combination of online and offline teaching, and is highly engaged and co-produced with non-academic partners (government, community, industry).

Our programmes seek to educate students for complex futures in which computational data, critical understanding and creative methods are essential to employability and the ability to take a confident place in the world.


The post holder will provide operational leadership to the front-line teams responsible for delivering and continuously improving learning and teaching and ensuring a high quality student experience for an increasingly diverse student cohort.


Your skills and attributes for success:

  • A keen interest in the Edinburgh Futures Institute and its educational mission
  • Significant experience in a senior and wideranging administrative role within Higher Education, particularly supporting students and staff
  • Experience of managing staff and budgets
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, motivate and influence others
  • Experience of managing and implementing change is highly desirable
