We are currently recruiting a Steel Picker/ Labourer for our well established client based in Cardiff to start ASAP on a Permanent Contract.

Hours :
Monday to Friday 7am-3pm

Salary :
£22,050 pa

Duties:

Handle scrap manually to ensure materials comply with Celsa standards.
Inspect materials and classify materials in an objective and professional manner.
Organise and separate materials accordingly and make sure they are stored in accordance with company policy.
Ensure the good housekeeping of the necessary designated work areas.
Clean work area and report cleanliness of areas on the production sheet on a daily basis.
Clean belt cleaners in line with LOTO & Abnormality Correction.
Use ProSafety software to log all hazards, near misses and accidents.
Attend any training courses that the company proposes.
Undertake all tasks in a safe and diligent manner and in accordance with all Company Safe Systems of Work, Policies, Process and Procedures.
Take responsibility for the health and safety, for the protection of the environment and report all accidents, incidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences to the Plant Manager.
To undertake all necessary tasks as designated to you by the Plant Manager on a daily basis and follow Standard Operating Procedures.
Follow and assist with Safety & Environmental policies and processes as required. This is not a definitive list of all tasks and is not intended to be a total definition of the job, but an outline of duties.
