We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-oriented Switchboard Operator to join our team at Banham (Fixed Term Contract of 6 Months).

As a Switchboard Operator, you will be responsible for efficiently managing incoming and outgoing telephone calls and directing them to the appropriate individuals or departments within the organization.

Your exceptional communication skills and attention to detail will contribute to providing excellent customer service and maintaining the smooth operation of our communication systems.

What can you bring to Banham?

  • Proven experience as a switchboard operator or in a similar customer service role. (Experience with Mitel would be advantageous but not essential).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Polite, professional, and friendly telephone etiquette.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with callers and visitors.
  • Proficient in operating switchboard systems and other relevant office equipment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work well under pressure.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Knowledge of confidentiality guidelines and best practices.
