Hi, I'm Lisa Hilson, Service Manager for the Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) Service.

I have worked with Norfolk County Council for five years, as well as having worked in other counties in the East of England, and across Children's Services.

As part of the UASC service development plan we are looking to expand our social care teams. We therefore have several opportunities within the service.

Right now, I'm looking for two experienced and dedicated Personal Advisors to work in our Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children's (UASC) Team.

You will have experience working with care leavers/adults 18+ and understand the challenges they face in transitioning to independence/adulthood.

It would be beneficial if you have experience working with UASC, but it is not essential as you will receive regular supervision in addition to more informal support.

You will be working closely with partner agencies to develop a robust, positive offer to those children and young people entering Norfolk (and possibly the UK) for the first time It is an exciting time to join the UASC Service in Norfolk as we embark on transforming the way we work with children and young people to support better outcomes and to work together as a parenting network to enable young people to be successful in achieving their aspirations.
