Description

Tradewind Education is currently seeking a committed
Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in
Stockport. This role involves working closely with a child with
SEND requirements in
Key Stage 1, providing essential support to ensure they reach their full potential.

Responsibilities of a SEND Teaching Assistant:

Providing
onetoone support for a child with
SEND, helping them to access the curriculum and participate fully in classroom activities.
Implementing
individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour plans tailored to the needs of the student.
Assisting the
class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated lessons to accommodate the diverse learning needs of all students.

Promoting inclusion and fostering a supportive learning environment where every child feels valued and respected.

Collaborating with the
SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other professionals to assess the student's progress and make necessary adjustments to support their development.

Requirements:

Ideally hold a
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
Possess a valid
DBS check registered on the update service

Previous experience working with children with SEND is desirable but not essential.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.

A
compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
