About The Role:

Our real estate team is now looking to grow our Residential Property offering into the Cheltenham market.

Based in our busy Cheltenham office, you will use your experience and contacts to develop the residential team within the area.


We're looking for a confident and well-established Partner to help develop and grow this area with support from the Head of Residential Property and provide a comprehensive conveyancing service to our clients.


Other Responsibilities include:


  • Advising on all aspects of residential conveyancing
  • Providing clients with high quality, proactive legal advice which meets client needs
  • Contributing to the team's marketing initiatives and building relationships (both internally and externally) in order to raise the firm's profile in residential conveyancing
  • Being proactive and ensuring clients and agents have regular updates and expectations managed
  • Drafting contracts and transfer deeds, dealing with enquiries and taking the matter through to exchange and completion
  • Preparation of completion statements, stamp duty land tax forms and dealing with postcompletion matters through to registration of title
  • Supporting other members of the wider residential property team as and when the need arises
  • Keeping up to date with developments in residential property law

About You:


You will need:


  • 8+ years PQE
  • Have connections and be very confident working in the Cheltenham market
  • Have experience in a wide range of conveyancing practices to include sales, purchases, transfers and assents, remortgages, new builds, adverse possession, first registrations, shared ownership, leasehold and listed properties
  • An ability to work as part of a team, collaboratively with colleagues and successfully manage client relationships
  • Excellent technical ability and drafting skills
  • To demonstrate teamwork and relationship building skills
  • To have strong commercial acumen
  • To be proactive, ambitious and organised with a keen eye for detail
