This role is to provide a high level of technical and project management skills across the company, both to internal systems and to external customers.


To continually innovate in order to ensure the technical department is offering the best level of service in terms of services and equipment.

Installation & configuration of complex IT infrastructure deployments


Main Duties

  • Act as an escalation point at a 3rd line level for complex infrastructure incidents and support
  • Assist in the delivery of new projects and chargeable change work
  • Drive the continuous improvements od service offerings based on client experiences
  • Provide 2nd & 3rd level support of an extensive client base
  • Assist with mentoring of junior staff
  • This role may need to attend customer sites to provide infrastructure assistance and act as their IT point of contact

Essential

  • Extensive experience with the Microsoft stack of Microsoft Server solutions.
  • Good working knowledge of deploying and suporting M365 & Azure Active Directory Services solutions
  • Virtualisation experience deploying and managing VMware, Hyper-V on HPE & Dell Hardware
  • Networking & the configuration of Switches, Firewalls, Routers, Storage and Wi-Fi
  • Experience deploying and supporting clustered virtualisation solutions
  • Managing Active Directory domains across multiple sites
  • Physical deployment of vendor hardware in customer server cabinets
  • Troubleshooting issues and escalating within the team when applicable
  • Excellent personal management including the ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team, excellent time management and a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Strong interpersonal skills, customer centric attitude, ability to deal with diversity and the ability to articulate technical issues to technical and nontechnical stakeholders
  • Producing high quality design documentation, possessing excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent personal management including the ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team, excellent time management and a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Strong interpersonal skills, customer centric attitude, ability to deal with diversity and the ability to articulate technical issues to technical and nontechnical stakeholders
  • Full current UK driving licence and own transport
