TENANCY SUSTAINMENT OFFICER - FIXED TERM UNTIL 31/03/2025

Here in Sunderland, we are diversifying how we help and support people who become homeless.

We have realigned the Housing Options Team to ensure the team is well placed to meet the needs of all people who are street homeless and those threatened with homelessness.

We will work to ensure that all move to and sustain independent living.

For many this journey is not a straight line, therefore we have increased the team and have added more diverse roles to ensure people are supported at every stage of their journey to a safe and secure home.

Sunderland is looking to employee a Tenancy Sustainment Officer as part of their Rough Sleeping Initiative.

As a Tenancy Sustainment Officer, you will provide a comprehensive, proactive support package to those individuals who have moved on from either short term or emergency accommodation, you will also play a part in preventing homelessness by supporting people to sustain their current accommodation.

The aim of the role is to engage and work with individuals to ensure they have all the tools required to sustain independent living.
