Job Description Summary


We are looking to employ an enthusiastic and driven Finance Intern (12 months) to play a key role in our Pharmaceutical Diagnostics' (PDx) Global FP&A Team, working with the Global Income Statement Leader, covering multiple aspects of finance from financial planning and analysis, reporting, quarter closing and more.

To be successful as a Finance Intern, you should have strong analytical skills, be a clear communicator, proficient in excel and adaptable to working in changing and ambiguous situations.


A Finance Internship within GE HealthCare (GEHC) is designed to enable undergraduates pursing a Bachelor's or Master's degree to gain hands-on work experience as the foundation of their professional lives.

As an Intern you will receive specific supervision from both a direct manager, and a people leader, with the aim of nurturing your technical and soft skills to develop you into a well-rounded finance individual.

Fixed-Term Contract: 12 Months Office-Based in Chalfont St.

Roles and Responsibilities - Includes but are not limited to:

  • Support the Global Income Statement Manager, as well as the wider FP&A/Regional PDx teams.
  • Work on deliverables for PDx CFO and Executive FP&A Management.
  • Actively involved with quarter end; reconciling actual sales to forecast models and ensuring correct ledger accounting, analysing variances, providing daily updates on ledger movements, and expected landing position.
  • Timely and accurate analytics, such as Operating Profit/Margin Walks and variance analysis.
  • Developing BI Tools and Reporting
  • Ad-Hoc tasks and business critical projects to manage and deliver throughout the year as and when needed.

Required Qualifications and Desired Characteristics

  • Carries themselves with a positive attitude, a team player and able to deliver expected results on time
  • Confident, selfmotivated, able to demonstrate initiative and work with limited supervision when needed
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, highly numerate with a good attention to detail
  • Confident in both oral and written communication
  • Fluent in English
  • Taking a placement year as part of a curriculum leading to a bachelors or master's degree from an accredited university, college, or school
  • Must have unlimited authorization to work in hiring country. GE Healthcare does not sponsor visas for internships
