Description

The team, consisting of over 30 Pharmacy Support workers and Pharmacy Technicians are responsible for the safe and effective procurement, receipt, distribution and invoicing of all medication for the Trust and several external organisations.

As a band 6 you will have operational responsibility of the purchasing, receipts, and invoicing team within Logistics. Managing and developing the team and looking at service improvement opportunities to streamline workload and introduce service efficiencies.


At band 7 you will have overall responsibility for the provision of an effective and efficient Pharmacy logistics service, ensuring that professional and legal requirements around the procurement and supply and payment of medicines are met and maintained.


You will work with internal and external colleagues and suppliers to ensure that service level agreements and operational partnership arrangements are negotiated and delivered effectively to ensure best value for money for the trust.


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
Experience of day-to-day operational management of staff and workload.
Experience of managing a procurement service
Specialist experience of procurement and contract management
Customer service experience
