We are currently seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a dynamic position in a secondary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) located in Preston.

This is a temporary-to-permanent role, with the potential to start in January 2024 or earlier with competitive daily pay rate ranging from £90 to £120, reflective of your experience and skills.

As an HLTA in this PRU, you will play a pivotal role in providing targeted interventions and delivering high-quality teaching to pupils

Your responsibilities will include:

Conducting 1:1 sessions and small group teaching to support student learning.
Implementing effective interventions tailored to the needs of individual pupils.
Writing comprehensive reports on student progress, behaviour, and achievement.
Collaborating with the teaching team to develop and implement strategies for academic and behavioural improvement.
Demonstrating resilience and experience in managing challenging behaviour.

To thrive in this role, you should have:

Previous experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or similar role.
Proven experience in managing and supporting students with challenging behaviour.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
A flexible and adaptable approach to working in a dynamic educational environment.
Relevant qualifications and certifications.
Hold an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible.
Legal right to work in the UK.
