Front of House Receptionist for our office at Soho Square, hosting people from across the wider Stantec business and being home to 120 people, it is one of the busiest offices within the UK & Ireland.
As the first (and often the last) point of contact for both our staff and clients, being approachable and good with people are important qualities.
Responsibilities will include:
General Front of House Activities
- Greeting and directing visitors in a polite and professional manner as the 'face of Stantec'
- Answer incoming telephone calls professionally and efficiently
- Maintaining visitors book and ensure that the signing in procedures are adhered to as well as the relevant H&S procedures
- Managing the booking of meeting rooms
- Catering for Client/team meetings
- Offering refreshments on arrival to visitors while they are waiting for Stantec representative
- Liaising with couriers/deliveries to ensure they are directed to the appropriate person in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ordering stationery and other office consumables as required.
- Ensure front of house reception area is tidy and well presented at all times.
Business Information Systems
Using your IT skills you will need to raise purchase orders on our e-PL system and use elements of Oracle e.g.
You will be required to set up wi-fi codes for visitors and to arrange meetings/communicate with colleagues using _MS_ _Teams_.
Work Pattern
As Front of House you will be expected to be in the office for the full working week in order to support the demands of a busy office.
On very rare occasions, you may be asked to work outside of normal office working hours to assist with meetings which may fall outside of your regular working pattern.
Capability Requirements
You will need to demonstrate that you have previous experience of working in a busy office environment and have strong computer skills in _Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word_ and _Excel_.
- Stay calm under pressure, have a positive attitude and willingness to get involved.
- Demonstrate professional competence within your area of work, with mínimal supervision.
- Independently perform routine and nonroutine tasks.
- Confidently liaise with external contacts and with colleagues at all levels to ensure effective communication.
