**Grade UE07: £37,099 - £44,263 (per annum). A revised salary range for this grade of £39,347 to £46,974 is planned to take effect from Spring 2024.

College of Science & Engineering - College Office, Planning & Operations Team

Full-time: 35 hours per week
**Open-ended: permanent


We are seeking to recruit a Planning and Business Insight Officer who will be responsible for planning activities to inform strategic decision-making across the College.


The opportunity

The post holder will:

support the management and provision of business data to enable operational and strategic decision-making across the College; carry out quantitative and qualitative analyses to keep track of delivery of College plans and projects, providing insight into performance of units across the College; and contribute broadly to College planning processes, and projects which improve governance and operational resilience across the College.

This role will be part of the College Office Planning & Operations team.


Your skills and attributes for success:

You should be educated to degree level or similar, along with hands-on experience in a similar or related role, or vocational experience, with demonstrable development through involvement in progressively more demanding relevant work/roles.


You will have strong numerical skills with the ability to analyse complex and inter-dependent numerical data; experience of developing management information, models and dashboards; and be technically competent to tailor data visualisations and reports for specific user groups.


You will have a strong customer-focus and be flexible in what is a constantly changing environment; with excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
