An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Radiotherapy engineer wishing to further their career at the Royal United Hospitals in Bath.

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and patient focused Radiotherapy engineer to join our friendly electro-medical engineering Team in the Medical Equipment Management Service (MEMS) department.

Duties will include, servicing and repair of our two Varian Radiotherapy linacs, currently Clinac iX's with our first True beam going Clinical in April as part of a replacement program.


As well as Radiotherapy, the post holder will be required to maintain ward based medical equipment and take part in other activities.

Specific Hospital medical equipment experience is not required as in house and manufacturer training will be provided. Any specialist Radiotherapy training may require foreign travel.


Qualified to a minimum of, BTEC, ONC/HNC or equivalent in Electrical / Electronic Engineering and have a proven track record of experience in maintaining and repairing of complex based electro mechanical equipment.

You will have excellent practical skills and a sound knowledge of equipment maintenance.


Based at the Royal United Hospitals the successful applicant will be expected to work at the RUH with some potential travel within the local area, carrying out duties as required at other healthcare establishments by use of a department vehicle provided, therefor a current driving license is essential.
