Job Overview
A highly motivated individual is required to work with a new production line. Working with production line management and Stores.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive customer forecast and load into the system, checking for any abnormalities
  • Execute MRP, identify and react to any material plans that do not meet production requirements
  • Coordinate with goodsin regarding expected deliveries and any missing products
  • Work with QA to understand impact to production of any rejected goods or scrap material
  • Escalate any stock out risks early to the Supply Chain Manager
  • Conduct cycle counting with the goodsin team to ensure accuracy of inventory
  • Monitor and manage any returnable packaging to suppliers
  • Provide input into departmental strategy for inventory levels, buildouts and new product introduction
  • Interrogate the MRP system to ensure it provides the best possible requirements planning for every part
  • Report on supplier performance and take corrective action with the purchasing team
  • Liaise with local contractors regarding waste and recycling collections

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Prior experience of planning or material role using MRP essential
  • Intuitive instinct for what is correct or not right from an MRP's output
  • High level of attention to detail and commercially aware
  • Organised and able to manage multiple priorities while working in a team
  • Confidence to pick up the phone, expediate orders and speak to suppliers
  • Ability to work on own initiative and without supervision
  • Happy to travel to suppliers within the U.K. and Europe
