Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide support for absence management, including reporting and assisting Line Managers with Occupational Health referrals.
  • Manage various cases, including disciplinary and grievance matters, flexible working requests, and performance management.
  • Assist in conducting Disciplinary hearings up to the final warning stage, excluding complex cases involving Equality.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new employees and ensure accurate payroll maintenance.
  • Maintain consistent pay rates aligned with peers and attend Tier 1 or 2 meetings with line managers and senior managers.
  • Support endofprobation review meetings and conduct exit interviews, providing corresponding reports.
  • Evaluate and update job descriptions as needed.
  • Address HR inquiries from both management and employees through various channels.
  • Train and guide managers on recruitment strategies, selection, and interview evaluation procedures.
  • Assist in developing recruitment campaigns and monitor metrics like retention and turnover rates.
  • Engage in discussions about employment terms, conditions, and benefits with staff members.
  • Review employee progress through appraisal systems, making recommendations as required.
  • Utilize HR software to input and manage employee data, ensuring regular updates.
  • Revise HR policies to align with current legislation and communicate changes to staff.

Key Attributes

  • 2 years experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of employment law
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Competent with MS Office (Excel and Word)
  • Stakeholder management

Job Types:

Salary:
£28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
