Waste Operative (Temporary): Mitie Group Ltd is currently seeking a Waste Operative to join our team at 5 Forli Strada, Peterborough, East Midlands, PE7 3HH, United Kingdom.

This temporary position will begin on 26/02/2024 and end on 06/05/2024.

As a Waste Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper disposal and recycling of waste materials in an efficient and environmentally friendly manner.

Your duties will include collecting, sorting, and disposing of waste according to company guidelines and regulations.

Responsibilities:

Collecting waste materials from designated areas within the facility
Sorting waste into different categories for recycling or disposal
Operating waste disposal equipment such as compactors and balers
Ensuring that waste is disposed of in compliance with health and safety regulations
Keeping work areas clean and organized
Reporting any issues or concerns to the supervisor
Assisting with other tasks as needed

Requirements:

Previous experience in waste management or a related field is preferred but not required
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail
Good communication skills
Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects
Knowledge of waste disposal regulations is a plus
