This casual post is for an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to work on a sessional basis in a busy citywide AMHP duty team in Bristol.


This is a specialist role and it is essential that you have a Post Graduate qualification in advanced Mental Health Practice or equivalent that has been approved by Social Work England and qualifies you to be approved to act as an Approved Mental Health professional.


The service requires AMHPs who can be contacted to work on the rota on either a pre-planned basis or ad hoc as the need arises.

You will be required to undertake assessments under the Mental Health Act in a variety of environments.

The team are based at 100 Temple Street and agile working is available. The team has a Team Manager, Senior Practitioner and AMHPs working across the team.

The duty rota is made up of AMHPs from the Duty Team and AMHPs working in community teams who participate on the rota on a pro rata basis.
