Role Overview:


Thirteen Group is on the lookout for a
Support Service Worker to join our homeless families project at Penrith Road, Middlesbrough. The role is a local authority commissioned service, providing 24 hour cover, 7 days a week on a shift working rota, including sleepovers. The role is challenging but extremely rewarding when the interventions we provide are successful and families eventually move on and sustain their accommodation.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Helping vulnerable and complex households gain their independence in preparation for moveon to settled accommodation within the community.
  • Robust support planning and risk management process.
  • Professional standards must be maintained during case management discussions with key stakeholders, ensuring the right outcome is achieved for our families.

About You:


  • NVQ L2 or equivalent, or commitment to attain NVQ L
  • Youll be professional and flexible in your approach.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection arrangements is important, as is experience of working in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Ability to communicate with fellow professionals and customers, ensuring all parties are included in the decisionmaking process.
  • Experience of using a case management system to record accurate data in a timely manner.
  • Youll contribute positively to a customer driven service and ensure continuous improvement with a proven ability to analyse and solve day to day problems.
