Pure are pleased to be supporting our long standing client in Chelmsford, Essex, with the recruitment of a Group Tax Manager.

Our client is a market leader in there industry and have a global footprint.

They have three trading entities, two joint ventures and a workforce that is packed with passion and ensuring that the business excels.

The Group Tax Manager will be responsible for oversight of the Groups tax affairs, coordinating and reviewing information for the preparation of statutory tax returns and acting as primary contact for our global tax advisors.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all taxes
  • Identification and evaluation of tax risks
  • Implementation of systems and processes to monitor and mitigate identified tax risks
  • Act as contact for any business queries on taxes
  • Preparation and / or review of statutory tax filings across all Group companies, including but not limited to VAT returns, CIS returns, WHT returns and corporation tax returns including tonnage tax calculations
  • Review bid papers to ensure tax implications of potential contracts are fully understood by the business, ensuring documentation of this is complete
  • Any other tax related tasks as required

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:


  • Qualified tax accountant
  • Experience in international taxes
  • Excellent communication skills to be a partner to the whole business
  • Ability to work well independently as well as the ability to work well with stakeholders and communicate the benefits of tax initiatives
  • Has the gravitas to operate at senior level
  • Strong experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements
