Accounts Assistant / £23,000 - £27,000 / Warrington / Study Support / Career Development / Hybrid Working / Permanent
NC Associates are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join a continuously growing company based in Warrington.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for all transactions on the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable ledgers includingreconciling to the bank account.


Duties:


  • On a daily basis entering Accounts Payable invoices into the system after checking that a valid PO and delivery note have been received or sending the invoice to the appropriate manager for approval.
  • On a weekly basis prepare a suggested supplier payment run report for that week based on invoices due and send to management for preapproval.
  • Once supplier payments have been made through the bank clearing those invoices in the system as paid and reconcile to the bank statement
  • Reconciling supplier statements as and when received
  • Respond on a timely basis & communicate clearly to suppliers for any invoices on hold or in query.
  • On a weekly basis prepare a summary report for management of actual payments within the month.
  • Regular contact to customers both in writing and verbally in progressing both overdue and invoices
  • Update the system with notes as and when chasing collection.
  • On a weekly basis prepare a summary report for management of the overdue balances and updated status with commentary
  • Once new customers setup by operations team, complete credit checks and limits based on guidance from 3rd party support.
  • Ensure Bank statement entries relating to AR & AP are reconciled on a daily basis.

Essential Experience Required:


  • Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant in a
    similar role


  • Studying towards AAT

  • Desirable
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Team player
