We are trusted to oversee thousands of qualifications that are available in schools, colleges, and workplaces, not just in this country, but around the world.
We are looking for a Qualifications Officer to work within our Qualification Development team, supporting the Qualifications Manager with the development, implementation, maintenance, and servicing of national qualifications in Chemistry, to a high degree of service delivery and customer focus.
You will undertake the following specific duties:
̈ ensure that the development, revision, maintenance, and servicing of allocated qualifications meets SQA's quality standards within set timescales
̈ follow agreed processes and procedures to ensure the effective delivery of all pre and post diet related procedures
̈ work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to support the effective delivery of allocated qualifications
̈ provide support to line manager and colleagues in Appointee Services in the selection, recruitment, training and monitoring of appointees to ensure effective performance.
You must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
̈ effective communication
̈ the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships
̈ the ability to evaluate problems; recommend solutions, and demonstrate an analytical, methodical, and creative approach to problem solving
Applicants, as a minimum, should be educated to SCQF Level 6 (Higher/SVQ 3) and/or be able to demonstrate relevant experience for this role.
Also, role model the behaviours associated with SQA's values (Trusted, Progressive, and Enabling) in order to develop and sustain a productive and positive culture.
