SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next role supporting pupils with PMLD (profound and multiple learning disability) in the London borough of Camden, North-West London?

Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join this Special Needs School in the area of Camden, North-West London, to start in January 2023 until July 2023.

This is a full-time, long-term role paying between £80.00- £95.00 per day on PAYE.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working in the Upper School of a Post-16 class, working in a small group of 6 students alongside a class teacher and 3 other Teaching Assistants.

All students are non-verbal and use objects of reference, gesture andbody signing in communicative interactions. Their learning includes sensory stories, connecting and responding activities, Music, Physio and Positioning.

This school is looking for a PMLD Teaching Assistant who is enthusiastic and reliable, has high aspirationsof working with students and would be able to ensure the safety and general welfare of students on site throughout the school day.

Located in Camden, North-West London, the school has excellent transport links via the Overground, Northern Line, Jubilee Line, Metropolitan Line and several popular bus routes.

Essential Requirements:

Experience supporting young people with special educational needs, specifically PMLD.
Previous support work, TA or LSA work within a Secondary School or other related experience.
Have a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
A caring and professional manner, willing to support with the personal care of pupils.
Must have legal right to work in the UK.
