Salary Band C (£22,777-£25,409 Pro Rata for part time)

We are seeking to appoint a Maths Interventions Tutor (8.45am-3.30pm 3 days/week) on a temporary contract for a fixed term to deliver our interventions plan.

Our interventions tutor will support our most academically vulnerable students outside of the classroom environment.

This is a rewarding role that demands integrity, organisation, commitment and a good sense of humour.

You will have the opportunity to have an impact on the achievement of a small number of students progress linked to our ambitious KS3 curriculum and the GCSE course.

.Previous experience is desirable but not essential. However, GCSEs (or the equivalent) at Grade B/6 or above in English and Maths are essential. This would be an ideal opportunity for someone considering the teaching profession or the education sector.

Essential Criteria Includes:

Able to work with different levels of ability in Maths.
An understanding of the AQA GCSE Maths specification.
Good general knowledge of Maths and how to explain Mathematical concepts.

Desirable Criteria Includes:

A Levels/Degree.
Excellent Maths and English skills.
Previous experience with secondary aged children in other settings.
