The Company is a world leader in the development of innovative monitoring solutions to enhance the safety and performance of assets.

As an OEM, they specialise in the design and manufacture of standard and bespoke load cells, strain gauges and integrated systemswhich are proven to perform year on year in hostile and hazardous environments.


The Role:


The purpose of the job is to provide the external and internal sales teams with technical support, liaise with engineering, production, procurement etc.

to be able to establish a solution with costing and lead times.

To produce thorough job costings, quotationsand detailed proposals in support of the sales function and to follow up ongoing enquiries to successful order.

Expertise will be required throughout Opportunity Capture, Bid Preparation, Post Bid Submission negotiation and eventual handover to Business Executionaccording to internal policies, processes and procedures.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist the Business Development team during the early engagement with the Customer to shape their requirement. Assist during Customer meetings as required.
  • Help develop opportunities through strong customer relationships and Communication with multiple stakeholders, ensuring opportunities are developed without delay.
  • Management of bids through receipt of enquiry to submission and contract award, ensuring compliance
  • Work with the production/engineering and procurement departments to establish a solution that is fully costed with a lead time.
  • Liaising with Legal and Commercial departments to develop solution in line with parent group principles.
  • Generate detailed quotations, commercial and technical proposals against defined deadlines for internal approval, ensuring Bid Strategy and Winning Themes are delivered as part of Bid input
  • Oversee the review of Customer documentation and, producing clarifications and qualifications as necessary.
  • Participate in facetoface clarification, presentation and negotiation meetings with Customers as required.
  • Liaise with the customer to understand their requirements where necessary.
  • Support Customer Services function as appropriate with regards to resolving any commercial or technical issues
  • Ensure sales database is updated as appropriate
  • Undertake any reasonable duties specified by the Management Team when required.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

You will be of graduate calibre or qualified by experience within engineering or experienced within project management.

You will be IT literate eg:

Word, Excel, Sage, CRM, an understanding of load monitoring equipment or a background in an engineering or technicalcompany would be a distinct advantage.
