Stock Assistant


Fresh People are currently recruiting for a Stock Assistant on behalf of our client a Fresh Produce Business based in the Sittingbourne location.

The main objective of this role is to support the stocks team to keep accurate record of stocks and ensure all product is used and dispatched in line with date codes.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct daily stock checks and scan all available pallets to the correct locations
  • Support Stock Controller with locating missing pallets
  • Identify overpacked or miss picked fruit and alert the Stock Controller
  • Use scissor lift to check stock in racking locations as required
  • Ensure you following all Heath and Safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance to all site rules and food safety requirements such as wearing correct PPE
  • Report any damage to handheld guns
  • Adhere to site clean as you go (CAYG) procedures

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Basic level of understanding and reading English
  • Basic maths skills
  • Able to lift (manual handling)
  • Agility
  • Confident working at height
  • Good attention to detail

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

£12.35 per hour
