Do you want to lead on research that aims to systematically tackle safety inequities?

Do you want to work with and bring together colleagues across patient safety organisations to share learning and co-design safety solutions that benefit everyone?

Do you want to be part of a supportive and inclusive team, committed to growing research capacity in safety equity and producing impactful research?


This important role is based within the National Institute for Heath and Care Research (NIHR) Yorkshire and Humber Patient Safety Research Collaboration (PSRC) working across the SafetyNet (a national collaboration of six PSRCs).

The vision of our PSRC is to deliver research that makes care safer for all and more collectively to bring our synergistic interests and skills from across the PSRC to create greater impact.


Your role will be multi-faceted, leading in the development and running of a safety equity research network, developing research capacity with safety equity research, driving safety equity projects forward and supporting the delivery of our patient safety equity, inclusion, and diversity strategy.

You will guide our work, ensuring that we have a sharp focus on safety inequities across areas of strategic national patient safety importance.


You will join a caring and motivated team that is committed to delivering inclusive research to inform improvements in the quality and experience of healthcare services.

To support this, we are actively working towards a more inclusive and equitable approach within our research community and our projects.
