As the General Dental Council (GDC) sets out a new ambitious corporate strategy to further prevent patient harm, it is vital we are able to procure the services and resources needed to achieve our aims.

We are therefore expanding our procurement team, presentingexciting new opportunities including the role of Strategic Procurement Manager.

As Strategic Procurement Manager, you will lead the procurement and contract management team.

This is a key role ensuring that all goods and services are sourced in accordance with the Council's Procurement Policies and Scheme of Financial Delegation, usingapproved and compliant routes to market and ensuring effective negotiation and supplier management - both in the purchasing and the ongoing monitoring of supplier performance.

You will have a business partnering approach to procurement with the ability to build and sustain professional relationships with suppliers and wider business community.
