Salary:
£48,000 to £60,000 PA


Duration:
Permanent {part time will be considered}


Hours:
Core hours will be 10:00am to 4:30pm when everyone is expected to be in the office. 7.5 hours per day Monday to Friday around the core hours


This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to work as an Accounts Manager within our Audit and Assurance Department.

The role centres around the review of work completed by team members of the Audit and Assurance department.


Key Responsibilities of an Accounts Manager:

  • Reporting directly to the partners
  • Working with the Audit Manager to manage the staff workflow and staff planner, allocating work and managing job completion
  • Responsibility for a portfolio of UK companies (excluding audit clients), including reviewing budgets and billing
  • Managing time to meet filing deadlines and more importantly, client expectations
  • Responsibility for the development of training staff in the audit and assurance department on accounts and corporation tax matters
  • Preparation of annual accounts may sometimes be necessary, but you would be encouraged to manage the team, so this is a rarity
  • Attending networking events outside of your normal working hours to promote the firm and the work we do
  • Responsibility for the review of accounts and corporation tax files in the portfolio, predominantly prepared under FRS102A

Key Competencies of an Accounts Manager:

  • Experience with CCH software favourable although not essential
  • Experience of working at a level where you regularly review other team members work
  • Knowledge of FRS102 and FRS10
  • ACA or ACCA qualified
