The role;
We currently have an opening for an experienced accounts assistant to join our established practice in Romsey.

Set in a lovely rural area, just outside of town you will be working in lovely converted stables and will join a friendly team to support the clientmanagers.

The role will involve preparing accounts for a portfolio of clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.

The role is very varied and will include tasks such as:

  • Bookkeeping
  • Invoicing
  • VAT returns
  • Accounts preparation
  • Assistance with self
- assessment tax returns

  • Client liaison
  • Corporation tax returns
  • Payroll
  • FPS+ EPS including CIS reconciliation

About you;

  • Experience working within a small/medium sized accountancy practice
  • AAT part qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Knowledge of accounts preparation and of taxation required.
  • Confidence to visit clients, assisting them to maintain computerised accounting records with a good understanding of VAT legislation.
  • Knowledge of a range of accounting packages ie. Xero, Quickbooks, Sage.
  • Strong organisational skills
  • The ability to develop and maintain client relationships
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
