Key Responsibilities:


  • Supervision of warehouse staff to ensure the delivery of the operational targets for the warehouse, are achieved on a daily and periodic basis.
  • Manage resource for sortation of inbound freight (VOW, NDC) and assist, where required and provide cover for Airport operations, including but not limited to Matthew Clark, Brakes and similar suppliers.
  • Prepare daily van routes in conjunction with the sortation and paperwork matching process.
  • Dealing with Shortages, Overs, Amendments and matching paperwork to the goods for each route.
  • Encourage and maintain a positive attitude and good working environment.
  • Manage staff performance on functional tasks throughout the warehouse operation including but not restricted to goods receiving, picking stock, packing orders, loading, put away and replenishment tasks and housekeeping.
  • Ensure overall quality targets are achieved in line with the Company's quality processes to a 99.5% level.
  • Assist in Stocktakes, perpetual stock counts and locating / movement of products.
  • Support all activities relating to the efficiency of the site i.e., time and attendance, manpower controls and allocation of staff, delivery of projects and business Initiatives.
  • Maintain an excellent level of housekeeping within a defined area of the site under the jobholder's control.
  • Contribute to the management of operational costs and budgets

Skills:


  • Supervision and management of people ability to evaluate performance, supervise and train staff.
  • Managing upwards in terms of reporting and escalation.
  • Communications skills, one to one/group. Subordinates, colleagues and leaders.
  • PC literate on main software packages (Microsoft).
  • Ability to implement and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Forklift Licence preferred (Bendi/Flexi Truck), conversion from Reach or Counter Balance can be undertaken internally.

Hours of work:

37.5 hours per week - 5 days a week

Working day range will be Sunday to Thursday and working hours 11:30pm-08:00am
