Auction Photographer and Trainee Conservator

Charing Cross - London

Our client a London based Auction House are looking for a photographer and trainee Conservator who help assist with the photography and the conservation antique artefacts.

Internal and external training will be proved with the view to develop strong knowledge base and the role of the company's in-house conservator.

Further training in the company's working processes for the full breadth of auction production will also be provided.

  • Photographing and preserving items destined for the company's auctions (trained by the Senior Auction Photographer)
  • The occasionally assistance for the rest of the team with auction administration tasks and participate in live auction day events.

The company views the following as essential:
***- Excellent attention to detail and precision

  • Knowledge of basic concepts of photography and image production.

Desirable but not necessarily essential:


  • Experience working with or handling collectible objects
  • Good technical proficiency in Adobe Photoshop
  • Degree and/or Alevels in History, Classics or similar
  • Experience working with CRMs and/or in web content management
