**Senior Nurse/ Sister - Outpatient department
Southend on sea
Band 6/7 equivalent**Senior Nurse for an outpatient department for our this hospital in Southend on sea.

Our client is a large independent provider of health care throughout the UK this service in the East of England provides General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedic, Urologyand Plastics.

As Senior Nurse/ Sister as well as delegating a team you will be responsible to assist in the efficient running of the outpatient service and co-ordinate the patient's hospital admission from pre-admission to discharge ensuring that the patient's needs aremet, integrating high quality care in the most cost-effective setting.

Ensuring an efficient and effective service that meets the required standards of relevant regulatory bodies.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE

Ability to motivate and take charge of the shifts and supervise all junior members of staff on the unit
Deputise for the OPD & DCU Manager in their absence
Ability to manage a nursing team and able to make judgements involving complex situations
Assist in the achievement of all key performance indicators
Participate in Performance development reviews of staff
Ensuring monthly and annual activity targets achieved within department

REQUIREMENTS

RGN active NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council)
Minimum 2 years experience working in a surgical, outpatient or day case environment
Experience nursing at a senior level with supervisory and leadership skills
Clinical competent in Bloods, wound care and preassessment

£33,000 - £44,000 per annum This is a full time role salary will be dependant on experience
