This advert is for a locum consultant post in the Department of Neurosurgery, based at the Institute of Neurological Sciences, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow.


The post holder will be expected to provide a comprehensive service to patients, including access to weekly theatre lists, outpatient clinics, ward rounding and MDTs covering Neurosurgery with a specialist interest in DBS.

The DBS is a National service covering Scotland.


The post-holder will be expected to contribute to the ongoing growth within the department and fulfill their role in the teaching of the trainees and other junior members of staff.

Out of hours work involves participation in a 1:13 on call rota whereby the occupant is expected to be able to manage general neurosurgical issues.
