Description

Head of Performance Improvement (finance) is required for a large shared service centre based in Greater Manchester.

As the Head of Performance Improvement, you will be responsible for the start up and development of a process improvement function and be involved in the next phase of Finance Transformation.

Drive process improvements, finance process automation and havean understanding of operational risks.

**Key Responsibilities_
- *

Executing and maintaining a sustainable and scalable programme of process enhancements, controls improvements and waste elimination initiatives
Implementing automation technology to drive efficiency and effectiveness
Delivering service improvement through performance improvement initiatives
Oversee issues and persistent operating problems which have been escalated through the Failsafe process
Curate programs for improvement areas by building consensus across the delivery leads
Maintain reporting against business cases, track benefits and developments arising from changes in processes
Identify areas for improvement, acknowledging areas of existing weakness and unidentified areas which would benefit from process improvement
Adherence to UK and group accounting policies and procedures
Assisting on various projects relating to analysis, reporting and process improvement
Managing the governance process

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications_- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a finance related field

Experience of implementing performance improvement programmes around process efficiency
Able to anticipate control weaknesses in processes and propose mitigating controls that add commercial value to the organisation
A credible and enthusiastic people manager
Detailed understanding of COSO control frameworks, SOX or other financial controls environment

Experience of managing a portfolio of projects and initiatives
