Description
Head of Performance Improvement (finance) is required for a large shared service centre based in Greater Manchester.
As the Head of Performance Improvement, you will be responsible for the start up and development of a process improvement function and be involved in the next phase of Finance Transformation.
**Key Responsibilities_
- *
- Executing and maintaining a sustainable and scalable programme of process enhancements, controls improvements and waste elimination initiatives
- Implementing automation technology to drive efficiency and effectiveness
- Delivering service improvement through performance improvement initiatives
- Oversee issues and persistent operating problems which have been escalated through the Failsafe process
- Curate programs for improvement areas by building consensus across the delivery leads
- Maintain reporting against business cases, track benefits and developments arising from changes in processes
- Identify areas for improvement, acknowledging areas of existing weakness and unidentified areas which would benefit from process improvement
- Adherence to UK and group accounting policies and procedures
- Assisting on various projects relating to analysis, reporting and process improvement
- Managing the governance process
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications_- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a finance related field
- Experience of implementing performance improvement programmes around process efficiency
- Able to anticipate control weaknesses in processes and propose mitigating controls that add commercial value to the organisation
- A credible and enthusiastic people manager
- Detailed understanding of COSO control frameworks, SOX or other financial controls environment

- Experience of managing a portfolio of projects and initiatives
