Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our Band 5 rotation programme at Homerton Hospital.

As part of this rotation, you will have the opportunity to work in multi-disciplinary teams across stroke, community and inpatient acute settings with diverse patient groups.

You will be well supported by senior specialist Speech and Language Therapists at all points.

As a member of the Homerton Speech and Language Therapy service, you will be required to carry out comprehensive assessments and interventions of communication and swallowing function across inpatient acute, stroke and community settings.

You will also have opportunity to refer and participate in the weekly videofluroscopy clinic and inpatient FEES service with support from lead clinicians, as well as acting as a keyworker for inpatients on the Graham Stroke Unit.

You will be expected to commit to the Trust's values and to work closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary team whilst carrying your own designated caseload of adults with acquired communication or swallowing difficulties.

In exchange for your commitment, you will have access to regular CPD opportunities and peer support sessions with other SLTs on the rotation.
