Hours:
CHOICE OF 10am to 2:30pm or 9:30am to 2pm Monday to Friday (Please note flexibility to swap and cover shifts will be required)
Pay:
£12.53 p/Hour

We are working with one of the largest Housing Associations in the South-East who are looking for a Facilities Assistant to join their busy team on a temporary basis for 5 months._
Main duties & responsibilities:
- To be responsible for keeping the reception area and any interview/meeting rooms tidy and supplied with appropriate items
- To respond to Facilities requests for work on the Facilities ServiceNow service desk
- To be responsible for dealing with all internal and external post/packages
- To monitor post usage, redirecting staff to more cost effective solutions, such as external mailings, as appropriate
- To supervise maintenance and cleaning contractors carrying out minor building repairs / projects within the office
- To raise purchase orders using our bespoke purchase ordering system and resolve invoicing queries in a timely fashion
Previous experience in Facilities is required.

- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks in a facilities setting
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify any issues or potential hazards
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems, including wiring, fixtures, and controls
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment, such as HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, and machinery
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
- Respond to work orders and prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance
- Assist with the supervision of contractors and vendors when necessary
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including the ability to read schematics and work with logic controllers
- Mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment
- Basic understanding of welding techniques is a plus
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees and visitors
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to complete tasks efficiently
- Leadership skills to supervise others when required
