Customs Supervisor

Permanent Opportunity (Hybrid)

Wednesbury

Salary :
£30K to £40K dependent on experience.

Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday 09.00am till 5.00pm with 30 minutes lunch

Are you an experienced Customs Supervisor looking for a new opportunity in the Wednesbury location?

We have an excellent opportunity for a customs supervisor who has the following experience.


We are looking for:

  • Experience in technical and practical aspects of Customs
  • Ability to make and understand all Customs entries in CHIEF/CDS
  • Ability to foster and maintain excellent working relationships
  • Good working knowledge of Destin8 and CNS Compass
  • Ability to produce professional and concise documentation
  • A working knowledge and understanding of Tariffs, CPCs, incoterms, and the rules of origin

Minimum requirements:
Experience with CDS/CHIEF, min 4 years

Experience with TSS (preferred)

Advanced knowledge of COO, preferential trade, GSP etc.


The Role:

  • Manage the daytoday import requirements,
  • Ensure tariff classifications are uptodate and origins are correct.
  • Communicate with freight forwarders, and service providers in relation to customs related topics.
  • Consult with suppliers and customers to obtain/issue origin statements.
  • Aid Customs in bringing all customs activities inhouse and help implement any systems or process changes that may be required.
  • Doing import customs entries and associated paperwork.
  • Complete Supplementary Declarations on TSS.
  • Remote work but occasional office visits required (Wednesbury).
  • Flexible work hours may be required.
