IT Infrastructure Engineer, Abingdon, Competitive Salary

A cutting edge technology company based in Abingdon is looking to recruit a IT Infrastructure Engineer to join a professional internal IT department.

You will provide excellent IT support to internal and external customers by ensuring that the IT infrastructure and systems are constantly available and running efficiently.

You'll oversee the execution of small infrastructure projects and assist with the largerones.

In this role, the successful IT Infrastructure Engineer will be a part of a small but passionate IT team that are always looking to keep up to date with the latest technologies.

Technical Skills:

Microsoft Windows Server/network administration and support (e.g. Azure Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS)
VMware setup, configuration (e.g. clusters, hosts, installation, templates)
Network design, configuration and maintenance across varied topologies and cabling technologies
Datacentre and Infrastructure hardware (Power, Servers, Environmental monitoring)
Network management skills (LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Team player
Excellent attention to detail
Enthusiastic, encouraging and committed approach
Due to nature of the work you will undertake, all applicants must have lived in the UK continuously for the past three years and will be required to obtain security clearance which we will arrange._
