We are now recruiting for a newly created role within this international company, working in their head office in Berkhamsted, joining them to take up the position of Production Supervisor to oversee the smooth operation of their production facilities inthe UK.


We are ideally looking for a proven Production Supervisor with experience of working in a manufacturing environment, someone with great supervisory and leadership skills and is process driven and able to demonstrate operational efficiency and productivity.


This is position is based out of the Berkhamsted site fully, although the need to go to other sites across the UK may come up, but very rarely, a handful of times a year at most.

Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm, based in Berkhamsted, a starting salary of approx. £40k + Bonus plus benefits covering private medical, great pension schemes and more.


Duties to include:


  • Check all jobs to ensure delivery on time to customer which would be looked at monthly.
  • Managing stock for manufactured parts by working closely with material controller and purchasing team to ensure jobs raised and parts ordered in sufficient time
  • Working closely with supervisors and teams to ensure the smooth running of the production area
  • Carry out onboarding and H&S induction for all new starters within the production facility
  • Reviewing monthly manufacturing output
  • Managing workload and planning of for all assembly departments by liaising with supervisors
  • Ensure a safe working environment through H&S best practice and promoting employee safety engagement, and ensuring we comply with our ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 obligations.
  • Ensuring stock levels are correct through six monthly/annual stock takes
  • Meeting deadlines and prioritizing workflows
  • To be the key communicator between the management and production teams
  • Manage absence that includes "return to work" interviews
  • Manage disciplinary and performance issues
  • Ensure jobs are closed with materials issued correctly
  • Run a WIP report monthly
  • Ensure cycle counts are carried out weekly and lead stock take
  • Proven experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Process driven with the ability to demonstrate improvement of operational efficiency & productivity
  • Strong Health and Safety awareness
  • Effective communicator
  • Experience with the Microsoft (Word, Excel and Power Point) as well as ERP systems, preferably Epicor
  • Holds the right to work within the UK
  • Must be willing to commute to Berkhamsted.
