The remit of the GDS is to manage the arrangements which the NHS Board is required to make with dental practitioners for the provision of general dental services in accordance with The National Health Services (General Dental Services) (Scotland) Regulations 2010.
Within the GDS team our Dental Practice Advisors will fulfil a governance and pastoral role to practitioners, offering support, guidance and advice on all primary care dental practice matters.
We now have an opportunity for up to two suitably experienced and qualified General Dental Practitioner to join our team working on a sessional basis, on average for 2-3 sessions per week.
In addition, contribute to and promote the improvement in quality of care throughout general dental practice, to act in a supportive and advisory capacity (including clinical advice, audit and quality improvement) to practitioners, and to provide advice to South Lanarkshire University Health and Social Care Partnership, which hosts GDS on a a pan-Lanarkshire basis on all matters relating to NHS General Dental.
