Clatterbridge Diagnostic Centre have an exciting opportunity for 4 Full Time and one Part time Sonographers to join our growing team.

Hours will be 8am - 6pm working over 4 days and 2 day's 8am

  • 6pm for the part time role
There will be a practical assessment as part of the Interview process

Clatterbridge Diagnostic Centre undertake General outpatient examinations along with an occasional Inpatient.

  • To provide, as part of a team, a comprehensive and effective Ultrasound scanning service
  • To carry out Ultrasound examinations at Clatterbridge Diagnostic Centre (CDC)
  • To exercise the ability to assess what needs to be done and plan activity to ensure that tasks and objectives are achieved
  • To issue independent reports on all ultrasound examinations within scope of practice

If successful in this role, there is a requirement for you to have an enhanced DBS.

This will be paid for by the Trust and then deducted from your salary over a period of 3 months.


As this vacancy is within the division of Women's and Children's, there is a mandatory requirement for successful applicants to join the DBS update service.

The cost of joining the update service is £13 per year, and applicants are liable to cover this cost with no reimbursement from the Trust.
