Farm Business Consultant - Alnwick - Up to £65,000

Due to a period of sustained growth, this leading multi-disciplinary professional service firm are on the hunt for a Farm Business Consultant to join their team.
As well as building strong relationships with existing clients providing practical advice on a one-to-one basis, you will be responsible for developing new business.
What you will be doing
- Help deliver and enhance existing inhand Farm Management instructions to a variety of farming clients in Northumberland
- Provide practical farm management advice to our farm and estate owning clients
- Undertake Farm Business appraisals
- Prepare reports and budgets in support of bank funding requests, specific projects may include land purchases, business restructuring and expansions as well as diversification projects
- Prepare reports and budgets to support tenders for FBTs, CFAs and SFAs
- Draw up Contract Farming Agreements (CFAs) and Share Farming Agreements (SFAs) and subsequently deliver ongoing management and reporting for these types of agreements
- Support the Land Agency teams and other areas of the business with practical advice where required
- Provision of technical advice where qualified to do so
- Helping to mentor and developing a growing team
What you will have
- Qualified through a college/university course
- FACTS or BASIS desirable but not essential
- A minimum of 3 years practical experience in the arable and/or livestock sectors
- Demonstrate knowledge of both the arable and livestock sectors, as well as a full working knowledge of Defra's grants and subsidies and the Agricultural Transition Plan
- Car owner with full UK driving licence
