The South Tyneside and Sunderland Radiology service is expanding to include a new team of Imaging Navigators The post holders will work together to undertake a wide range of clerical duties associated with a busy clinical imaging service, working across the various modalities of CT, MRI, Plain-Film xray and Ultrasound, in addition to Interventional Radiology.

These posts will be vital to the efficient running of the Radiology Department, where the Navigators will be expected to act as a conduit between a wide range of clinical and non-clinical staff, directing queries, co-ordinating referrals, allocating appointments, and much more.

The Radiology Department is open 7 days per week, 24 hours per day. Administrative staff work across all seven days, working from 8.00 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. Monday to Friday, plus weekends and bank holidays.

The post holder will be expected to work across these parameters of service provision as part of their normal working week.
