The Patient Access Team are looking for enthusiastic self motivated individuals to join our Patient Access Team at Weston General Hospital.

We have a full time permanent position available at 37.5 hours per week.


Depending on the experience of the applicant, this can be a developmental role spanning Band 2 to 3 to enable career progression through a gateway, based upon essential criteria such as qualification, experience and performance in the Band 2 role.

The Access Team manage the Trust's waiting lists for outpatient appointments as well as day case and inpatient surgery.

This involves all aspects of waiting list management, and includes scheduling of theatre lists and outpatient clinics to ensure that patients are treated timely and within local and national waiting time guidelines.

Your role will be to support our busy office with day-to-day admin responsibilities.

This will include printing referrals and prepping them for clinical triage, prepping clinics by gathering referrals ahead of time, filing and being a point of contact for clinic prep/medical records to reach the team in the office.

In order to complete the above tasks, excellent organisational skills are essential.

This is a very busy role within a call centre environment, and you must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks.


You will be using the Trust's IT systems as well as Microsoft Office software packages, so it is vital you are experienced in using different computer systems and Microsoft Office 365.
