Purpose of Job


SME with extensive industry (business domain) specific knowledge, understands the Equities product, participant roles, functions and processes, department and business tools in detail.


Requirement Gathering - Functional and non-functional requirements, document in the form of user stories


Analysis - Uncover detail and 'tacit knowledge', assimilate relevant facts, identify unknows


Interaction with the business - Stakeholder management and communication of change delivery

Backlog management.


Coordination - Working across functions of the company to meet project objectives, including Business Analysts, Developers, Testers, key stakeholders


Testing:


Approach - Deliver high level and cross-functional business analysis and design both within projects and at a strategic level


Design - Work with Development team and the solution design authority to ensure good design principles are upheld


Communication - Ensure accurate, timely and transparent MI and communication is used to track progress, status and issues/risks with ongoing activities


Quality - Ensure standards are maintained and process is followed


Profile

Product/Business Analyst - Equities Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • In depth working knowledge of Equities primary and secondary trading products is crucial, including, but not limited to equities, warrants, convertible bonds, issuance and underwriting, cash trading, high volumes, synthetic prime brokerage, financing (securedand unsecured)
  • Understanding of Equities trading methodologies and the trading environment including, but not limited to hedging, arbitrage and risk
- experience overseeing Front Office engagement and work item prioritisation, working within an agile framework

  • Good working knowledge of agile methodologies required
  • Experience in a Product Specialist or Business Analyst role within financial organisations or software vendors essential
  • Experience of front to backoffice Equities system knowledge required
  • Understanding of bank operational processes and BAU expectations
  • Understanding of Financial Services EU regulatory environment: EMIR, MiFIR, BASELbased capital / liquidity systems
  • Demonstrated experience of creating business / technical requirements and specification documentation
  • Demonstrated experience of delivering software and business solutions management end to end, design, definition, and delivery of technical solutions inline with strategic goals within financial organisations or software vendors
  • Demonstrated experience handling communications at all levels across the whole business including dealing with high level stakeholders in a financial environment
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
  • A Business, Finance, Science or Mathematics degree or qualification and relevant business experience in a similar role
  • PMP, Agile certification or equivalent preferred (not required)
  • Good Excelbased spreadsheet / quantitative and data management skills


  • Familiarity with SDLC

  • BA and project management methodology
  • Familiarity / Handson experience with manual / automated testing environments
  • Familiarity with SQL,.Net and C#/++ (or other relevant languages) and VBA preferred
