Description

This Council lead a highly regarded internal Corporate Legal Team, serving the needs of the Council across a wide range of functions, we have legal teams specialising in a range of areas including, planning, highways, debt, property and contracts.

They are looking to fill a vacancy for a qualified lawyer or solicitor specialising in planning.

Their lawyers provide excellent advice and representation to our clients, role model for less experienced team members and work closely with others in the service to help deliver on our strategy and service plan.

You will:

Give advice to officers, Senior Managers or Members of the Council on planning matters,
Manage demands and deliver a caseload of matters,
Proactively report to clients and management on the progress of work,
Undertake advocacy in any Court or Tribunal,
Offer support and guidance to less experienced members of the team
