About the role


As a New Client Handler in NCU your primary role is to obtain new clients' instructions to handle their personal injury and/ or financial loss claim.

You will be answering both inbound and outbound calls to ensure the client understands how we can assist, listing all benefits of using our services.

You are expected to deliver an outstanding service to every client probing and identifying what losses they have incurred.

Through comprehensive training will be able to deliver limited legal advice to assist the client in understanding what is expected of them and to manage their expectations of what can be claimed.


On a daily basis you will be expected to deliver advice from the training you have been provided or via scripting.

Identifying how we can help each individual client is a key part of a New Client Handler role as you will ensure the client is well informed of how we can assist them in their time of need.


You are expected to understand the urgency of every call, remaining patient, and should you detect a case which doesn't fall within our internal processes and procedures then you are expected to use your initiative and/ or seek further guidance.


A New Client Handler must ensure the correct level of funding has been arranged and the retainer sent out is applicable for their client.


Each day you will work on Personal Injury files or Uninsured loss files, whatever your rota stipulates for that given day.

On occasion, due to business need, you may be expected to concentrate more on Personal Injury or Uninsured Loss claims.

You will have your individual 'to-do' list and it will be your responsibility to on keep on top of these tasks on a daily basis.

Teams in NCU work different working patterns to facilitate the volume of work we have incoming to the business. Your working hours vary between our opening hours of 9am and 8pm.

If you are scheduled to work a weekend then please note this is both Saturday and Sunday and you will take a Day in Lieu one day in prep for your weekend and one day after.

If you need to swap this then it is your responsibility to ensure it has been worked and an agreement in place.
