Expro are currently recruiting for a Cased Hole Engineer (Supervisor) to join the Cased Hole team based in Aberdeen.


Overall Purpose of the Job:


To supervise team to complete the running of equipment on and offshore ensuring successful safe operations in accordance with Company procedures and thereby ensuring a quality service to client.


Key Activities and Accountabilities:


  • Plan, prepare and risk assess logging and perforating operations.
  • Ensure checks are carried out on all equipment for their compliance and are technically correct for the operation being carried out.
  • Ensure that site support requirements are planned and executed safely and efficiently as required to facilitate continuous operations.
  • Carry out and ensure participation from team in tool box talks and planning meetings when required.
  • Rig up and deploy a range of cased hole services both surface read out and memory.
  • Identify, understand and follow all relevant procedures.
  • Ensure completion of required documentation for company procedures, processes and specific client's requirements.
  • Liaise with the team members and onshore operations department as and when required to ensure all aspects of the operations are discussed as required with the relevant parties to ensure effective communication to allow continued safe operations and task completion.
  • May be required to work at onshore bases in the preparation, return of equipment and report preparation.
  • Actively participate in Expro's Competence and Assurance system.
  • Be open to learning new technology as it is introduced.
  • Be available for adhoc work both onshore and offshore.
  • Work in a multiskilled team to deliver a flawless service.
  • Actively mentor subordinates to share knowledge to assist with their competency progression when required.

Job Knowledge and Qualifications:


  • Knowledge of industry Cased Hole technologies and software such as Sondex Warrior
  • Eline logging experience
  • Memory logging / trigger experience
  • Knowledge and experience in Well Intervention / P&A
  • Experience in explosive safety and perforation
  • Experience in radiation safety and formation logging
