The LMCB has specialist in-house state-of-the-art science technology platforms, which include Light, Super Resolution and Electron Microscopy imaging, as well as a world leading High Content Biology Facility.

In addition, the Division is a partner in the UCL-Zeiss Multiscale Imaging Centre shared with other Faculties in UCL.

About the role:

The LMCB is seeking to appoint an Education and Training Administrator. The postholder will be based on the main UCL campus in Bloomsbury.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join our small administrative team to provide administrative support for students and teaching in our division.

You will work closely with the Associate Director (Education) and the Divisional Manager to provide key administrative support for the division's PhD, MRes and undergraduate students.

You will also be responsible for financial management for LMCB graduate research programmes from advertisement to completion and for providing pastoral support to students on LMCB programmes.

Additionally, you will be supporting the Associate Director (Education) in developing and implementing stragetic initiatives to increase the LMCB's teaching portfolio.

This is a varied role which would suit a good team player with excellent communication, organisational and computer skills.

You should also be self-motivated and able to work independently with initiative and will need to be reliable, flexible and able to work calmly under pressure.

Role specific details:

  • Initially this role is offered as an internal secondment role, available to current UCL staff only.
  • This is a fixedterm role for one year in the first instance with plans to make this role permanent.

About you:

You will play a key role in providing an efficient support service for research and education at the LMCB.

In particular, you will support activity in relation to teaching and learning, and take pride in delivering an excellent service to colleagues, students, stakeholders, partners and the wider UCL community.

What we offer:

This is an excellent opportunity for someone from within UCL to join a friendly team and gain or develop their knowledge and skills in education at grade 7 level.

Interview Date(s) are scheduled for: Early July.
